Decarbonising shipping and aviation remains one of the biggest challenges to hitting net zero, network companies are already working to deliver against the Prime Minister's ambitions

The focus of decarbonisation is now rightly shifting towards the 'difficult to reach' sectors like heavy industry, shipping and aviation. Whilst carbon capture and storage will work for land-based assets, those in the skies and on the seas need new solutions. Energy networks are integral to the innovation taking place for these sectors which are the final hurdle to hitting net zero.
